Today while exploring Peoria via gps, I came across a couple of small businesses that looks to have been closed for some time. I kept the composition simple and straight on. Let me know what you think. :-)

Peoria

Here is a little pic of the new(er) addition to the Civic Center. All the new buildings downtown are creating new photo ops for local photographers. I hope the new development of the museum (BuildtheBlock.org) lives up to the expectation. :-P

STL x 2

Hello everyone. Just got back Monday from a family trip to STL. Got the chance to see the zoo, downtown area, and the small cities surrounding. Here are a few of the images that I was able to get.

Stitching

Just a few days ago I was taking photos downtown and I decided to shoot a series of images panning the camera. I actually shot from the ground up while under the bridge downtown. I took four of the images into Canon Photo Stitch and was able to create a TALL Panoramic image. I have seen many many mannnnyyy panoramics that are landscapes or cityscapes just not a tall one. Well here ya go. Hopefully I will create much more interesting ones soon. Here is just the start. Please let me know what you think.

Illinois River

Here is a new photo I took during the rainstorm on Saturday. It was pretty foggy over the river which helped block the other side of trees from taking up too much of the scene. I hope you like it.

Here is another photo I took later that day when the rain stopped. This is near the grain elevator in Henry, IL.

Here is a photo I took about a month ago outside my apartment. I cropped the sides of the image for a towering feeling. Let me know what you see. Art? abstract? Tree? :-)

Greyson film

So I finally dug this image out of my gazillion old negatives from my Canon EOS 3. Lo and behold I found the long lost image I took during the Greyson CD cover shoot from 2007. This image didn't make it onto the CD but it has been used for promo posters for the band on Greyson's Myspace

This was about a ten minute exposure taken that 2007 winter. It was about 12 degrees that night on the parking deck. Great Times. :-)

November 2008

Hello everyone. Winter is getting closer to ending YAY! This image was taken on one of the few nice days we had in November last year. I did not include the bridge in this photo because I don't like the color they chose....Grey. It jut blends into the sky and it loses that Peoria Riverfront feeling it used to have. I say Bring Back the RED BRIDGE!! Otherwise, the IMAX Theater in Peoria will be nice too. :-) BuildTheBlock.org May is a good time for Graduation Photographs so please pass the word that I am currently scheduling for this spring for Seniors and Graduates. After Work

Hey there. It has been a couple weeks since I posted so I thought maybe I should shoot something new. When I got home from work today I thought about taking a photo with my new jacket. Then I thought, I should be holding something in the picture. AND THENNNNN I decided to show some movement. Well I ended up with a bowling pin and these images. :-P Let me know your favorite. -Matt-

Helllloo and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! So I had the chance to go to St. Louis with family and I was able to see the arch from the highway. This shot was taken while going about 50+ MPH ( NO, I was not driving ) So I thought it looked cooler in black and white. Please leave me a note. Thanks

Relaxing.

Well Its seems I've been relaxing lately. Had a couple shoots in the last two weeks. Truth is I've been busy trying to get listed online. Seriously Joking

I'm not sure what the joke was but these guys have serious talent. You may or may not recognize them but this is Greyson. They formed in Peoria around 2006. Ive had the pleasure of creating images for their demo CD from 2007. Just this year we got back together to do a photo shoot for their new press kits. This image was just by luck while they were trying to keep composure.

So here is an image I've been throwing around on the computer. I was doing a close-up study near the industrial area of downtown Peoria. I found this door that was nailed shut with a plank of wood. I took several shots of the doorway and found this one to be the most appealing to me. I hope you enjoy.
